Into a pan, I put chopped onion, butternut squash, carrots, celery, tomato puree, stock cubes, a tin of chopped tomatoes, a handful of lentils, chopped roast turkey and water.
Simmer until the veg and lentils are soft, adding more water if required.
Blend with a stick blender if you prefer a smoother soup.
