Steak & Cajun Rub

Steak & Cajun Rub 

Serves 6

Heat a non stick pan and add 1 tbsp cumin seeds, 1 tbsp coriander seeds, 1 tsp garlic salt, 1 tsp hot smoked paprika, 1 tbsp black peppercorns, 1 tbsp dried basil, 1 tbsp dried oregano and 1 tbsp salt, and toast for 1-2 mins.

Put into a pestle & mortar and grind until well combined.  Dip each side of 6 steaks (sirloin or rump) into the spice rub and cover and keep in the fridge until ready to cook.

Cook for 2 mins each side, or to your taste.  (Grill, BBQ or George)
