You can also add some chopped fresh or canned pineapple.

Sweet and Sour Sauce

Stir in ½ pt/284 ml passata sauce & mix.
Cover and chill.

Sweet & Sour Sauce

Serves 2

Points per serving: 1 (all plans)

2 level tablespoons cornflour
200ml vinegar
200ml water
2 tablespoon Amoy dark soy sauce
2 tablespoons artificial sweetner
half medium pepper red green or yellow
half small carrot

Slice peppers and carrot into small strips. Bring water to the boil. Cook veg in the water until it returns to the boil. Mix vinegar, soy sauce, cornflour and sweetener together in heatproof jug.  Pour hot veg mixture into the cornflour and stir well. Return mixture to the heat, bring to the boil and reduce by about 1/4 stirring every few minutes.
Pour over any hot meat or veg and serve with rice (150mg boiled rice = 3 points)
This sauce is only one point but remember to count points in meat and rice. Good way to use leftovers
