Turkey Sicilian Style

25g Butter
1 Onion sliced
75g Button Mushrooms, Sliced
25g Plain Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Ginger
1/2 Teaspoon Grated Nutmeg
150ml Chicken Stock
150ml Skimmed Milk
350g Cooked Turkey Meat Chopped
Salt & Pepper
15g Flaked Almonds, Toasted
Melt butter in pan and gently fry onion and mushrooms until soft.
Add flour, ginger and nutmeg. Cook for 1 minute then gradually add in chicken
stock and milk. Bring to the boil and add turkey and salt & pepper to
taste.
Turn down heat and cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Pile mixture into a warmed serving dish and sprinkle with toasted almonds.
I normally serve with plain white or brown rice and a mixed salad. Remember
to add points for rice.
