Steak with Sauce
Vikki sent me this recipe....
it’s 1 point for the whole lot and it is just toooooooo yummy!!!1 x lb Rump steak
2 x Medium sized onion (or 1 large!) - chopped or sliced
Butter Fry light
1 beef stock cube - melted with 400 mls of boiling water
3 x teaspoons of Curry Power
2 x dessert spoons Worcester Sauce
2 x dessert spoons Soy Sauce
1 x dessert spoon of flour
Pinch of Cayenne Pepper
Slice the steak into strips, and chop up onion. Fry the onions in the butter fry light until transparent and remove, add a little more butter fry light and brown the steak, then return the onions to the pan.
In a separate dish mix the stock cube, worcester sauce, soy sauce, curry power, flour and Cayenne pepper (you add more seasoning if you wish) - sometime it is trial and error.
Once the steak and onions have cooked add the sauce to the pan and bring to the boil slowly.
I usually then switch if off and let it marinade in the spices for as long as I can and then slowly heat it up again, making sure there is enough liquid in the pan, if it does seem thick you can always add more water.
Beautiful served with rice, NC chips or jacket spuds.
