1 kg recipe -
U will need to work out the points as per the amount of chicken u use.
1 Kg Chicken
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tbsp poppy seeds
1/2 tsp cardamom seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsps ground cumin
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp grnd. ginger
1 tsp grnd. cinnamon
1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
1 tsp chilli pwd
spray oil
2 large onions , sliced
abt 200 ml of plain low fat yoghurt
1. Cut the chicken into bite size pieces or maybe larger ( I like the bony
pieces and not the chicken breasts - Indian curries are always better with
chciken with some bone inthem - making it juicier. )
2. Gring the poppy seeds, garlic, cardamom, cumin seeds, grnd. cumn, cloves, ginger,
cinnamon, pepper and chilli to a paste with little water
3. Rub the chicken with this paste
4. Spray oilin a saucepan, saute onions till brown . Remove onions and keep
aside.
5. Add chicken to saucepan , fry on all sides till lightly browned.
6. Return onion to saucepan with yoghurt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low,
cover and simmer till chicken is tender.
7. Uncover pan and cook till liquid evaporates. U could keep a bit of gravy
depending on taste.
