Slow Cooker Pulled
Pork
Pulled pork in home made BBQ sauce. I
thought I'd share this cz I make it at least once a week and the BBQ sauce is
0pp so it's only the pork to pp.
I buy shoulder pork with the
fat on and a mesh net wrapped around it £4 asda.
Put in slow cooker on low
(nothing else no water no nothing just on it's own) High - 4.5 hrs or Low - 8
hrs. Once done remove the joint and pour excess juice/fat away. To the joint
cut the mesh and the fat will come away with the netting. Discard & put joint back in slow cooker.
BBQ Sauce: 2x large onions, 2x garlic
cloves, fry light in a pan until soft. Add 2x tin of tomatoes and simmer with
half a cup of water. Add 3 tsp of sugar/sweetener, 5 tsp of balsamic vinegar, 3
tsp of soy sauce, pepper, chilly powder (optional) blend and pour into slow
cooker with joint then use 2 forks to shred x
