Apple & Cinnamon Flapjacks

Apple & Cinnamon Flapjacks

Makes 12 at 2½ points each (original points)

100 g low-fat spread, melted
75 g dark muscovado sugar
2 tbsp golden syrup
175 g porridge oats
1 tsp ground cinnamon
75 g dried apple pieces, chopped into bite size pieces
25 g raisins or currants

Preheat oven Gas 5/190ºC/375ºF.

Heat together the low-fat spread, sugar & syrup until melted & well blended. Mix in the oats, cinnamon, apple pieces & raisins. 
Spread in an 18 cm (7 inch) shallow square tin. Bake for 15 mins. 
Leave to cool in tin before marking into 12 squares. Once completely cold, remove from the tin & store in an airtight container.


VARIATION Replace apple with 50g mixed dried fruit. Same pts per square
