Greek Green Beans

Greek Green Beans

1½ Syns for the whole lot


400 g can haricot beans drained
3 garlic cloves crushed
425 ml veg stock
1 bay leaf
2 sprigs oregano
1 tbsp tomato puree
juice of 1 lemon
1 small red onion chopped
1 oz pitted black olives, halved (1½ syns)

Put everything in a pan except the olives. Bring to the boil then simmer for about 1 hour or until the sauce has thickened.

Stir in the olives, season with salt and pepper. Can be served warm or cold.
