Boil some brown rice & let it go cold. This is important so it doesn't stick to your pan.
Whisk 2 eggs. Use a non-stick pan. If you like Frylight spray use it, (I don't) or use some of your daily oil. Heat the pan and oil and add the rice. Keep stirring it. After a couple of mins, add the whisked eggs &
continue cooking until the egg is cooked -
you MUST keep stirring to make sure it doesn’t stick).
This is a basic recipe. If you want something more substantial, make sure you have all your ingredients prepared and to hand before you start.
Use peas, chopped spring onion, peppers, cooked ham or chicken or prawns.
Anything that takes a bit of cooking add first before the rice, then add the rice and other ingredients.
Serve with soy sauce
Fried Rice
This recipe
is for a fast and easy fried rice dish.
Frozen rice is ideal to use for this meal.
cooked long grain rice
1 tablespoons soy sauce
1 egg -- slightly beaten ( use more eggs for larger portions)
1 small onion -- chopped
1/2 green pepper -- chopped
1 stick celery chopped
cooked prawns
In a large frying pan or wok cook bacon until brown, but not overly crisp.
Remove bacon,
pour off all of the fat, saute onions, peppers, and celery
until limp. Add cooked rice and saute the rice until it browns. Add egg,
soy sauce, and prawns. Saute for 5 minutes more.
