Stir-fried Chinese leaf


Stir-fried Chinese leaf

Serves 2

1 pt per serving

1 tsp sunflower oil
1 tsp sesame oil
1 head chinese leaf, roughly sliced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 red chilli, chopped
1 tsp grated ginger
2 tbsp teriyaki sauce

Heat the oil in a wok or deep frying pan. Tip in the Chinese leaf and stir-fry for 2 mins. Add garlic, chilli and ginger and cook for 1-2 mins. Add teriyaki sauce and 1 tbsp water, cover and cook for about 2 mins until tender.

This is definitely oriental in flavour, but I like it just as an accompaniment to plain grilled chicken/fish
