Five Spice Beef

Five Spice Beef

Serves 6

Core recipe 
Points per serving: 4

450g lean sirloin steak, cut into long thin strips
2 tsp chinese five spice powder
few sprays frylight
1 tsp sesame oil
250g pack eggnoodles
300g chestnut mushrooms, quartered
300g pak choi cabbage
6 spring onions, diagonally sliced
2 tsp dark soy sauce
2 tbsp dry sherry

Cook the noodles as directed on the pack.

Meanwhile mix the steak strips with the five spice powder.

Heat the oil and frylight in a wok and stir fry the meat for a couple of minutes.

Add the mushrooms and cook for a couple of minutes.  Add the rest of the ingredients and 2 tbsp water and cook until the pak choi is just beginning to wilt.

Drain the noodles and share between the serving dishes, top with the beef mixture and serve.
