Spanish Barley

Spanish Barley

Core recipe


Serves 1

3 oz barley
1/4 pint water or stock
Onion
Garlic
Green Pepper
Tin of chopped tomatoes
1/2 tsp paprika
salt and pepper

Add water or stock to barley - bring to boil then simmer for about 20 mins or till barley is tender- drain any excess liquid

Saute garlic, onion and pepper till soft. Add paprika and cook for a couple of minutes - add in tomatoes and seasoning and cook gently for about 10 - 12 mins.
