Indian Spiced Lamb Kebabs

Core recipe

450g lean minced lamb
1 small onion, chopped finely
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsps ground coriander
0.5 tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp lime or lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped fresh mint
seasoning
few fresh mint sprigs and lime/lemon wedges to serve



In a large bowl, mix together the lamb, onion, cumin seeds, coriander, chilli powder, lime/lemon juice and chopped mint.  Season with salt and pepper.  Form the mixture into small meatballs and thread them onto kebab sticks.  Cook on a barbeque or under a hot grill for about 15 minutes, turning once or twice until cooked through.  Serve, garnished with a few fresh mint sprigs and some lemon or lime wedges.
