RED ONION CHUTNEY


RED ONION CHUTNEY

500g red onions
100ml of balsamic vinegar
150ml of cider vinegar
1 clove garlic
2 Apples, peeled and chopped small (optional) (optional)
Salt & Pepper
5 dessertspoons granulated sweetener more if you like it sweet

Slice the onions up small and reasonably thin, peel and chop apples if using, then add the vinegars
And sweetener, bring to the boil turn down and simmer for approx 1 hour until the vinegar has evaporated and formed a thick sticky sauce, then transfer into sterilised jars and let cool before sealing.
