50G (1 3/4
oz) half fat Butter
25g (1oz) caster sugar
75g (2 3/4oz) Plain flour
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence or almond essence
Preheat the oven to gas mark
4/180c/fan oven 160c
Cream together the half fat butter and sugar. Sift in the flour and add the
vanilla or alond essence and mix until it all comes together s a firm dough.
(If you have the time, chill the dough for 30 minutes before counting).
Divide the dough into 10 portions and roll each one into a ball.
Place on a non stick baking tray and flatten them into a cookie size and shape.
Bake for 15-20 minutes and then transfer to a cooling rack.
Freezing not recommended
