Beef Stew

200g lean
stewing beef
500g new potatoes (quartered)
1 large onion
1 leek
1 courgette
1 carrot
80g bisto gravy powder
Chop
the meat, onion, leek, courgette, carrot and potatoes and put in a pan of water
(water should just cover the ingredients). Bring to the boil and simmer until
the meat is cooked and the veg is soft. Add the gravy powder bit by bit,
stirring it in. Once again bring to the boil so the gravy can get thick.
Serve
with lots of 0 point pickled cabbage - it's delicious and filling for those
cold evenings!! It also saves well so you can freeze it or take it to work the
next day for lunch!!
