Five spice seasoning is a blend of Eastern
spices. It's the basis for the marinade for these delicious basted kebabs.
Serve hot or cold, with a salad and crusty bread or rice.
400 g pork escalope, cut into thin strips
4 teaspoon sunflower oil
1 portion shallots, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 tablespoon sherry, dry
2 tablespoon soy sauce, light
1 teaspoon ginger, grated fresh root
1 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
·
Arrange the pork in a shallow dish in one layer.
·
Mix together the remaining ingredients. Drizzle
over the pork, turning and coating the meat thoroughly. Cover and leave in a
cool place for 30 minutes, to marinate.
Thread the pork on to four
metal or bamboo skewers and cook under a preheated grill for 5 minutes on each
side, brushing the kebabs with any remaining marinade
