Better
Brownies

These
brownies are gorgeous.
Makes

fat cooking spray
75g SR
flour
50g
unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ tsp
salt
1
large egg
2 egg
whites
175g
caster sugar
6 tbsp
unsweetened apple sauce
2 tbsp
sunflower oil
2 tsp
vanilla essence
15g
chopped walnuts
Preheat
oven Gas 4 180C 350F
Spray
a 20cm (8") square non stick cake tin with the oil. If not non
stick, line the tin with greaseproof paper.
In
medium bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa and salt.
In a
large bowl whisk together the egg, egg whites, sugar, apple sauce, oil &
vanilla.
Add
the flour to the egg mixture, stirring until just blended. Take care not
to over mix or brownies will not rise.
Transfer
to tin and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
Bake
in centre of oven until just set...around 25 mins. A cocktail stick or
skewer inserted in the centre should come out clean.
Cool
in tin for 15 mins, then cut into 12.
