Pasta Arrabiata


Serves 4

250g Wholewheat Pasta (23)

1 x Chicken Breasts, sliced (4)

6 x Bacon Medallions (4)

2 tbsp Tomato Puree (1)

2 x Small Onions, Diced (0)

2 x Cloves Garlic, Minced (0)

1 x Courgette, Diced (0)

1 Chilli, Diced (0)

2 x tins Tomatoes (0)

2 tbsp Dried Basil (0)

Pinch Salt (0)

Frylight (or Healthy Oil allowance on F&H) (0)


Bring a large pan of water to the boil, add the pasta and cook for 10–12 minutes or according to packet instructions.

Drain and rinse thoroughly.

Meanwhile, spray a large, non stick pan with the cooking spray (or health oil allowance). Add the sliced chicken and cook for about 5 minutes, then add the chopped bacon, onions, courgette, garlic and chilli and cook, stirring over a medium heat for 5 minutes until the onions have softened.

Add the chopped tomatoes and tomato purée and cook for 5 minutes until thickened slightly.

Add the basil and season.

Add the drained pasta and stir to combine. Heat until piping hot then serve.
