CHILLI SAUSAGES

CHILLI SAUSAGES

Serves 4

1 Syn per serving

8 BGTY sausages - 0.5 Syns each
1 onion, finely chopped
1-2 red chillies, deseeded and chopped
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 red pepper, deseeded and cut into chunks
1 orange pepper, deseeded and cut into chunks
400g can chopped tomatoes
400g can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
125ml pasatta

Spray a large pan well with Frylight.
Brown the sausages lightly on all sides under the grill whilst adding the onion, chillies, cumin and seasoning to the sprayed pan and cooking for 5 minutes, adding a splash of water if it sticks.
Add the peppers to the pan and cook for 3 minutes before adding the can of tomatoes, kidney beans and passatta. 
Add in the browned sausages and stir well.
Bring to the boil, turn down to simmer and cover with a lid.
Gently simmer for about 30 minutes.

Great with mash or jacket potatoes.
