BEEF KORMA


BEEF KORMA
serves 4 .
1Kg beef, cubed (lean)
1 tablespoon ground ginger
3 cloves garlic, crushed
150 grams fat free natural yogurt
1 red chilli, deseeded and chopped
2 onions, finely chopped
1 tablespoon ground coriander
pinch of black pepper
2 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon garam masala
water
1 can coconut milk light (12pp)
1 carton tropical fruit juice
50 grams raisins (5pp)
Mix the ginger, yogurt, and garlic and add the beef and marinade overnight in the fridge.
Liquidize the onion and chilli in a blender, adding water slowly until it make a smooth paste.
Spray a pan with fry light, add coriander, black pepper, turmeric and garam masala and fry for 5 minutes on a low heat.
Turn up heat and add
the garlic chilli paste, and cook for a further 5 minutes.
Add the meat and marinade to the pan and cook for 5 minutes
Add coconut milk light and raisins and mix well, add tropical juice, stir.
Lower the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally for 30 minutes until thickened.
Serve with rice, chips (fries).
