Marmite Chips

Marmite Chips

Serves 2
Points per recipe 7
Points per serving 3½
Freezing not recommended

500g potatoes, peeled
2 tsp vegetable oil
2 tsp Marmite
salt & pepper

Slice potatoes into 1 cm (½") wedges or chunky chips.  Place in pan of water and bring to the boil.  Reduce heat and simmer for 8 mins, until just beginning to cook on the outside.
Preheat oven to Gas 7/220ºC/425ºF.
Drain potatoes thoroughly and allow to steam for 1-2 m ins to dry off.
Add oil and Marmite to the potatoes in the pan.  Cover and shake the pan to coat the potatoes then tip onto a baking sheet lined with baking parchment.
Season and bake for 20-25 mins until crisp and golden, turning once after 10 mins.

Note,


I found it easier to put the potatoes into a large freezer bag then add the oil and marmite and gently squish them round to coat in Marmite.
