Mix
together the soy sauce, garlic, ginger, five spice, chilli, rice wine vinegar,
agave and sweetener.
Place
Pork shoulder (fat cut off) into the slow cooker.
Rub
the mix over the whole joint.
Pour
the stock over the meat and add the star anise.
Cook
on high for 6 hours, basting occasionally.

CHINESE SLOW COOKED PORK

CHINESE STYLE PORK STIR FRY

Half a Chinese Slow Cooked Pork (Recipe below)
50g dry egg noodles (4pp)
1 small head of broccoli, cut into small florets
250 grams sugar snap peas
200 grams fine green beans
100 grams baby corn
3 spring onions, chopped
2 tablespoon soy sauce
3 tablespoon sweetener
1 tablespoon lazy garlic
1 tablespoon ginger
50 millilitres chicken stock
Method
Cook the noodles as per packet instructions, set aside.
Steam the broccoli, sugar snaps, green beans and baby corn for approximately 25 minutes.
In a wok, fry the spring onions for 3-4 minutes, add the steamed veg and noodles, and cook until warmed through.
In a sauce pan, mix together the soy sauce, sweetener, garlic, ginger and chicken stock, warm it through.
Warm the Chinese pork, serve on top of the noodles and veg.
Pour the sauce over the top.
