Hot Tuna with
Tomato & Lime Salsa

Serves 4
4 fresh tuna
steaks
Marinade:
4 tbsp light
soy sauce
zest &
juice of 2 limes
1 small red
chilli, seeded & finely chopped
1 x 2.5 cm
(1") piece fresh ginger, peeled & finely chopped
salt &
pepper
Salsa:
6 ripe
tomatoes
1 lime
1 tbsp chooped
fresh chives
1 tbsp
balsamic vinegar
salt &
pepper
Combine all
the marinade ingredients and pour over the tuna steaks. Leave to marinade
for 20 mins.
Make the
salsa. Skin the tomatoes, remove the seeds, chop the flesh and place in a
bowl. Stir in the chives, lime zest, juice and vinegar.
Preheat
George or similar grill. Season the tuna and cook for 4-5 mins. (Or
cook on a standard grill approx 3 mins per side.
Serve the
tuna hot with the salsa.
