STIR FRY QUORN™ WITH CHINESE BLACK
BEANS AND SPRING ONION
serves 4
2 tbsp vegetable oil |
1 red pepper, sliced |
1 fresh chilli, finely sliced (optional) |
1 bunch of spring onions, cut into 1 inch lengths |
1 small red onion, sliced |
1 garlic clove, crushed |
1 300g packet Quorn™ pieces |
Sauce: 2 tbsp prepared Chinese black bean sauce |
1 tsp sugar |
8 tsp (120ml) water |
1 tbsp dry sherry |
1 tsp cornflour |
Heat the oil in a large wok or frying pan over high heat. Add the red onion and
pepper and stir fry for one minute, now add the garlic, chilli and Quorn™
pieces, and cook for a further 3-4 minutes until the Quorn™ pieces take on a
light golden colour. Add the spring onions, and cook for one minute more. Add
the sauce ingredients and allow the mixture to come to the boil and thicken
slightly. Serve immediately on rice or noodles
