SLOW COOKER SPICY ASIAN BEEF

 

Serves 4

1 Syn per serving on Extra Easy

 

700g of braising beef (cut into chunks and all visible fat removed)

1 tablespoon of corn starch (1.5 syns)

1 teaspoon of sesame oil (2 syns)

1 onion, roughly chopped

4 spring onions, chopped

3 cloves of garlic, crushed

1 red chilli, finely chopped

1 green pepper, roughly chopped

200g of mushrooms, sliced

1 tablespoon of freshly grated ginger

4-5 tablespoons of dark soy sauce

60ml light soy sauce

3 tablespoons of rice vinegar

20 ml of water

1 teaspoon of  sugar (1.5 syns)

Black pepper to season

Some freshly chopped spring onion to decorate

Place the meat in a zip lock bag, add the corn starch and give a good shake to evenly coat.

Add the meat and all other ingredients to the slow cooker, set to the low (8 hour) cooking time. 

 

 

3.

Serve with some quick stir fried fresh veggies and rice and top with some chopped spring onions.
