1tbsp olive
oil
2.5kg small cooking potatoes
250g bacon (shoulder)
1 tsp mixed herbs
salt and pepper to taste
1 pint water
toss everything
into a large cooking pot and cook until potatoes are soft.

makes an enormous plate piled to the ceiling(well nearly anyway). Big portion.
Scrummy and cheap.
